CACAO ENERGY BALLS

Preparation time:

10 mins (plus 30 minutes chilling time if desired)

Ingredients:

Dates (pitted) - 1 cup

Almonds or walnuts - 1/2 cup

Cacao powder - 2 tbsp

Chia seeds - 1 tbsp

Vanilla extract - 1 tsp

A Pinch of sea salt

Directions:

1. Add the dates and nuts to a food processor and blend until finely chopped.
2. Add the cacao powder, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend until the mixture comes together.
3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
4. Optional: Roll the balls in extra cacao powder or shredded coconut for a finishing touch.
5. Store in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.
